A Book Review

He knew something he hadn’t known before…He not only missed her. He still loved her.

-Quote from Love Story By Karen Kingsbury

If you guys are looking for a new author I would highly recommend giving Karen Kingsbury’s work a try. This is the first book I ever read by her, and I absolutely loved it. The book itself is actually part of a series #thebaxterfamily. If I was just being introduced to it, which I am, I would consider this book probably to be close to the end of this series, just from the way it was written. It’s probably not true, that’s just what I think.

It’s been a few years since John Baxter lost his wife Elizabeth. When his grandson Cole approaches him with a request to hear how John and Elizabeth met for his family tree school project, John feels conflicted because he will have to relive some of his memories with Elizabeth. In the end, he consents to doing the project, and in turn, John’s own children learn a little more about their parents’ love story.

Read To Find Out More!

Over the last few months, I have been looking at my bookshelf and thinking to myself that I need to update my reading selection. Most of the books I have are probably for ages 13-16 years. It just depends on what you like to read. Something I hate doing though is going to a store like Barnes and Noble, getting a book for $40+, read a few pages, and then end up not liking it. Because then that just wastes $40 when I probably worked at least two hours in a shift to make that. It doesn’t help any when I am so picky in what I read because of content.

There’s just something about this book though, this author’s style of writing that I absolutely love. I’m not quite sure what it is, I just like it, that’s all I can tell you for now. Karen Kingsbury is definitely one of my new favorite authors.

On a scale of 1-5, I rate this book at a solid 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
